market uniform

In the last week I have added several weekly markets to my schedule, and so my posting has become a bit more sporadic and I apologize. But the one thing I can tell you is that I always try and make my clothing choices interesting when I sell my jewelry, so I have at least two days a week that I'm bound to look decent and grab a picture.

Market was so fun today! Two of my nephews came with me to be my muscles and we had a great time. Made some new friends and met a touring boy band - and they actually bought stuff!

All my goodies all laid out and ready to sell!

Detail of my bracelet bar at market today.

I have been loving the daytime sequin look for awhile now, but I'm just trying it out today! It was definitely a hit with me, especially paired with my most blogged about skirt and belt!

weekend adventure

I have very little to say. I wore this outfit on Friday when I went to my mother-in-law's to water the flowers and let out the dog and to make many many paper flowers.

It's John's last weekend before school starts and so we're trying to enjoy that.

 So if it's okay with you, I'm going to go have an adventure now, enjoying the last week of summer with my husband.

bead queen

I am in full scale jewelry mode right now because I have my first sale at a Tulsa Farmer's Market tomorrow and a whole string of craft fairs lined up after that, which might be why I look so darn tired in these pictures. But, life is good because I'm getting to do what I love, and that is making me happy.

So life is imitating art today and I covered myself in beads:
a great necklace and a crazy awesome beaded elastic belt.

This outfit is also accessorized with my humungous bruise on my left shin. I am currently working on drafting a mind blowing story about how I got it. I sprain my ankle and no mark, but I have no memory of doing anything to get this bruise.

Isn't that belt a beauty? ($0.75...)

Off the make more beautiful things!

infinite ways to wear an infinity dress {or at least twelve and a half}

I made my very own infinity dress last summer back when my hair was short and black
{so a long time ago in style years}
and I regret to say I haven't worn it very much.
But then I rediscovered it.
And now, oh infinity dress, how I love thee.

So here is my ode to infinity dresses in photos. These styles are all made using my style of infinity dress which has a waistband that extends all the way up over the bust to make it bra friendly.

Here we go!

1. Strapless

2. One shouldered (wrapped from the front)

3. High V-neck

4. Pinup style halter

5. Cap sleeve crossback

6. Twisted Y-front

7. Keyhole front

8. Keyhole front cap sleeve

9. Double Y tank

10. Cutout back one shoulder (wrapped from the side)

11. Cutout halter

12. Kimono style

12.5 - Push the sleeves up on the kimono style - instant tank!

Infinity dresses are so fun! Do you have one? How do you like to wear yours?

{my favorite way}

dyeing for a cool front

I feel like the most broken record you're ever going to listen to, but it is just so hot I can barely stand it. I'm getting the apartment crazies. Anybody remember that episode of Arthur (yeah, the aardvark) where he takes a frozen shirt out of the freezer when it's super hot? Yeah, I want to do that all the time. Simple and cool is about all I can handle right now - no jewelry, no frills, and you bet your bottom dollar my hair was up in a scrunchie before you could say "Really, a scrunchie?" after I took these photos.

And I also never wear shoes. So unlike last time, I'm being honest in my photos.

Stay cool!

new in neckwear

Summer styles are in full swing at Favoring Brave, my happy little corner of the Etsy world.
Here's how I've been keeping cool: making these little lovelies!

Anybody got a favorite?
