Move Two Point OH

I have spent the last weekend moving for the last time until June (Alleluia!) and I am just now starting to feel settled. My clothes are all in one closet, though, and that is a darn good feeling.

Witness the genius of having no dresser and a whole load of funky old suitcases, an Itso box from Target, and an abandoned end table.

The Suitcase Dresser.

Otherwise known as adaptation.

Quickie DIY: Nail Polish Pendant

In the process of cleaning out my room at my parents house
I came across this old cameo pendant and it looked like this:

...which is ugly.
It was a weird grey color with a huge chip on the underside, which showed through to the top.
So here was my bright idea to make it something I would actually like to wear.

And now it is beautiful.

This Quickie DIY was brought to you by growing up, moving, and the letter C.

False Advertising

Thrifted: scarf, dress, belt. Cardigan: Forever 21, Leggings: clueless, Socks: Old Navy, Booties: Charlotte Russe

Something crazy happened today.

I actually got dressed in an outfit fit for public consumption.
This being graduated thing is proving too relaxing for my own good. But this is the two weeks of the rest of my life that are going to be like this, so I'm not complaining.

I know that this is supposed to be a style blog and I haven't been blogging much style lately, but then again I am in Iowa where we are supposed to be under two feet of snow by now, instead of the piddly dusting you see in these pictures.

So I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE NOT LIVING UP TO EXPECTATIONS.

Now I've blogged some style. Your move, snow.

PS. This dress was made using the "Jill is Lazy" method of crafting:
1. Hack a dress off where you want it to hit you.
2. Be done with it.
Go forth and practice as you see fit.

Three days until Christmas!

Musical Jewelry Box

I love music, and I love boxes, so this seemed like a marriage made in heaven.
I found this great old jewelry box at a garage sale a few years ago, but I got sick of the boring black outside. I didn't have the commitment level to decoupage the whole thing, so I took the easy way out. Even though I was the lazy crafter on this project, I'm happy with how it came out.

The mirror on the inside also pops out and stands up on its own. I love this jewelry box.

Blue
